Tribute to Chuck Berry (1926-2017)
Chuck Berry died Saturday, March 17 in St. Louis at the age of 90. He was signed to Chess Records in 1955, based on a tip he got after meeting with Muddy Waters. His first hit was "Maybellene," followed by a string of time rock hits such as "Rock and Roll Music," "Roll Over Beethoven" and "Johnny B. Goode." He toured endlessly through 2014 and continued to do shows in his hometown St. Louis afterward.
